We’re Looking for an Art Director

Agency 877 is driven to create thoughtful, out-of-the-box and strategic design that executes our client’s vision. We’re searching for an experienced art director to guide our team creatively as well as develop captivating concepts for print, digital and beyond. This person should manage people well, inspire and be inspired by others and strive to take our creative efforts to the next level. 

Objectives of this Role

• Oversee internal creative department and establish standards for production, productivity, quality and client service
• Collaborate with team in creating marketing plans, aligning team priorities with business objectives to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget
• Develop presentation approaches, styles and techniques for the team to implement
• Ensure team adheres to current creative procedures, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and proposing and creating processes and tools to support design operations 
• Analyze market trends, consumer need, competitive landscape and track campaign performance

Job Responsibilities

• Work with the entire creative team to establish and maintain a unified brand understanding for each client
• Conceptualize campaign vision, harnessing original graphics, copy, content websites, social media, and other marketing materials
• Develop creative briefs based on ideas established in brainstorming sessions with direction, schedules, and expected deliverables for the creative team
• Obtain team approval by presenting final layouts, storyboards, and illustrations, encouraging members to provide feedback, and responding to internal commentary and requests
• Present or oversee the presentation of final concepts and coordinate production for cross-organizational use 

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in fine art, graphic design, or similar discipline
• 2+ years of agency experience 
• Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
• Attention to detail
• Proven track record of creating exceptional brands and brand material
• Exceptional capability with typography, layout, and prototyping
• Highly skilled with leading a team of creative talent
• Strong creative vision with an understanding of business objective
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects at once and at high-speed
• Live in Lincoln, NE

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience as an art director 
• Photography and videography knowledge and experience 
• Web development & coding capabilities
• Animation experience
