PROJECT OVERVIEW

Legacy Retirement Communities provides exceptional care for seniors in four locations around Lincoln: The Legacy, Legacy Terrace, Legacy Estates and Legacy Arbor. To celebrate 25 great years, they wanted special branding and T-shirts that showed the facilities’ longstanding establishment within the community while highlighting some of their best offerings.

THE CHALLENGE

The goal was to create designs that felt appropriate for seniors without coming off as “old”. We wanted something that everyone, from the youngest caregivers to the 90-something residents, would feel comfortable wearing any day of the week. We also had to create slogans that cleverly fit with each shirt, which represented one of the four Legacy locations.

This mark was used in Legacy’s promotional communications throughout the year and placed on the sleeve of each T-shirt. The faded, vintage-inspired font intended to appeal to young and old audiences alike.

Design

We designed one T-shirt for each of Legacy’s four, unique locations, plus a general concept that applied to the entire Legacy brand. The “Fountain of Life” shirt is for the original facility, The Legacy, which features an elaborate, well-known fountain at its entrance. “All Roads Lead to Legacy Estates” is a nod to the vintage cars on display in Legacy Terrace. The “Aged to Perfection” shirt is dedicated to Legacy Estates’ beloved bar, the Iron Horse Saloon. Finally, “Simple Times, Sweet Memories” was created for Legacy Arbors, a memory care facility.
