Rabble Mill is a Lincoln nonprofit that gives young people a place to commune and create. Their skate shop and coffee shop combo, the Bay, is a Lincoln staple that serves as a fun, safe meeting spot for the public and teens in need alike. Every year they host the Anti-Gala, a showcase of local artists, musicians and skateboarders, with all the proceeds going to further Rabble Mill’s mission. Because we believe in the work this organization does, we stepped in to do some pro-bono design for the event. Pictured below is our concept for the schedule of events to help guide attendees through the day.
We worked up:
- Signage to help attendees find their way around, including emergency signage
- A photo backdrop to create a buzz on social media
- A map of the venue with an itinerary of the Anti-Gala’s events
- A beer menu
- Raffle signage
- And more!
We’re proud of the work we created for such an awesome organization, and we feel lucky to work essentially next door to people doing the most good.
If you want a rundown of the event, check this Lincoln Journal Star article detailing the happenings. Rabble Mill shared an album of pictures from the Anti-Gala, too.
Yes, paying jobs are awesome, but nothing beats knowing you’ve helped your community.
Skate on, friends!
